CHARTER
ARTICLE
I - NAME AND AUTHORITY
1.
The organization shall be known as The Sunland Village Computer Club
(hereinafter called the Club).
2.
The Sunland Village Computer Club is an authorized activity of the
Sunland Village Community Association (hereinafter called the Association) and,
as such, is responsible to its Board of Directors (Board) which will delegate
powers and responsibilities to this organization only to the extent permitted by
law, the Association Articles of Incorporation and the Association By-Laws, and
limited to those deemed advisable by the Board.
The Sunland Village Computer Club is
a non-profit organization, created to help interested members become more
proficient in the comprehension and use of computers at the beginner,
intermediate, and advanced levels. The
Club may also provide support for other Sunland Village Community organizations
which might require computer usage assistance.

The Club shall be governed by
the Computer Club Board of Directors (CC Board) which shall consist of the
following elected officials: President,
Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and three additional Directors.
2.
By-Laws will be adopted by the Club to govern the day-to-day operations
of the organization. The Club
By-Laws will be in compliance with the Association By-Laws.
3.
Committees and other organizational matters will be in compliance with
the Association and the Club By-Laws.
4. Meetings of the membership shall
be held monthly as defined in the By-Laws.
5.
The organization operating year shall be the calendar year.

Membership is open to all members of the Association in good standing as
determined by the Association.
2.
Membership dues are required. Member
dues are defined in the Club By-Laws.

The Club is an integral part of the Association, and, as such, shall
never hold itself out as independent thereof, nor act in such a manner.
2.
All monies, except dues, collected by the organization, are funds of the
Association and may be used only as permitted by the Association.
3. The officers of the Club shall
keep such records and make such reports as considered necessary for the Club or
required by the Association.
4.
Any programs not strictly in conformance with the objectives stated above
must have the specific authorization of the Board for use of community
facilities. All activities involving the use of community facilities will be
coordinated with and approved by the Activity Director.
5. A petty cash fund (if needed)
shall not exceed $50.00, unless specifically authorized by the Association.
6.
The Club By-Laws shall identify
the objectives and purpose of the organization and describe the activities and
programs the Club may utilize to fulfill the objectives and meet the needs of
interested Association members.
7.
The Association, in accepting this Charter, retains the right to cancel
the same if, in its opinion, the organization is not living up to the above
requirements or is not properly fulfilling its objectives or obligations, and
has given proper advanced notification to the CC Board officers.
The Association shall be the sole judge as to whether such requirements
have been adequately fulfilled.
